Alopecia Areata

Alopecia areata is a condition in which the hair -growing tissue is attacked by the immune cells causing round patches of hair loss. The reason for the attack of immune cells is still unknown. This process takes place in three stages. First and foremost stage is sudden hair loss. There is a sudden lessening of hair. Then the patches of hair loss enlarge and at last new hair grows back. It takes several months or even years for the hair to grow back. But only in very rare cases the hair never grows back.

This is not a contagious disease but sometimes hereditary. The best treatment for Alopecia is Thymusil. It is a natural treatment with proven results. Hair regrowth can be stimulated by cortisone injections. Cortisone creams can also be used instead of injections. But then reality bites - some patients do not respond to any treatment as such.
