Dyshidrotic Dermatitis

Dyshidrotic dermatitis is very common in women. It is a form of hand eczema that starts on the sides of the fingers as little bumps and later it will develop into a rash with more itching. It will mostly affect the feet but sometimes it will affect both the hands and feet. The causes involve genetic factors and stress. The most effective and natural treatment is a product called Epitrex. It can eliminate flare-ups. Cortisone ointments and Cutemol Emollient Cream are also usually prescribed by doctors.

Hands should be protected from direct contact with soaps, detergents, and other chemicals by wearing waterproof cotton gloves. Lukewarm water and mild soaps should be used to wash hands. Soap free cleansers can also be used as they are less irritating. It takes long time for the skin to recover from this disease and there are also chances of recurrence. The patient should be careful at least for four months even after the healing of dermatitis.
