Mega Skin Care Event held by Sharjah Ladies Club

A mega skin care event was conducted at Sharjah Ladies club. The program had more than one hundred women participants. The objective behind the whole event is to disseminate information on the various skin problems. The specific aim in the event was to help the people to know about Psoriasis. This program was made possible through the financial assistance of many patrons and one such notable organization is Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.

One of the key note speakers in the awareness campaign included the notable personality Dr. Aysha Al Qatami, Head of Dermatology Department, Obaid Alah Hospital, Ras Al Khaima. His presentation stretched on many areas on psoriasis and he made the audience to understand the impact of this dreadful disease to the masses. Besides explaining the losses he also gave an overview on what all they will be missing if they are affected by psoriasis. The impact of this disease is very severe and those affected are not able to get rid of it their life time. This event is aimed at making them understand that they are provided with adequate care.

This disease infects people belonging to both male and female sexes and one of the main symptoms include red itchy scales in the skin. The problem usually occurs in the elbows and knees. However other areas like lower back face and feet of the patients may also be affected. Sharjah Ladies club has been vociferously advocating for this problem and one they have been hugely responsible for many prominent campaigns.

Amani Ibrahim, Marketing & Events Coordinator says that the current campaign is a special case reason being the severity of the problem. He also says that any dereliction can prove to be a big problem and therefore it is very important to deal this problem in the larger interests of the masses. He also said that this campaign will prove to be fruitful in the longer run as it will not only create awareness but also prove to be a solution to the mental agony that Sufferers of the disease are currently undergoing now.The total number of people suffering from this problem is on the rise and the problem also depends on the area where they are affected.
