Effective Rosacea Skin Care TipsRosacea a non-contagious long-lasting disorder of the facial skin. Many people will not be using the most effective rosacea skin care because they do not understand what rosacea is or know how to recognize the symptoms. Rosacea treatment relies, first of all, on people being able to identify this skin disorder. This article informs you on:
The exact causes of rosacea are not yet known. It is believed to be a hereditary disease. Some researchers believe it is a vascular disorder or that the redness may be related to the nervous system. It has also been suggested that there is an extra blood flow which leads to more tissue fluid than the skin can handle. People with rosacea have also been found to have more of the tiny mites called demodex folliculorum that live on our skin. Rosacea can be triggered by certain things like hot weather, exercise, stress, spicy foods and alcohol. These things may also cause rosacea to get worse. It is most common in people between the ages of 30 and 50, but may appear as early as the teens. It is more common in women than men. It is also more common in people with fair skin. If rosacea is left untreated, it will become worse and the symptoms will not be controlled. In extreme cases, a large area of the face is affected. The nose can appear read and swollen. Rosacea can lead to ocular rosacea, which is a feeling of burning and grittiness in the eyes. The eyes can become bloodshot and in advance cases, the eyelashes may fall out. The eyelids can become inflamed and develop scales and crusts. Symptoms of RosaceaThe symptoms of rosacea include redness of the skin, visible blood vessels, bumps or pimples and watery or irritated eyes. It usually occurs on the nose, cheeks, chin and forehead. It may start as a red, blotchy appearance and then develop into pus-filled bumps. The skin tissue can thicken and it may become sensitive. In extreme cases, the nose may look bulbous or red and enlarged (a condition known as rhinophyma). It may also be accompanied by grittiness or burning of the eyes and crusts or scales on the eyelids.Remedies for RosaceaThere is no known cure for acne rosacea, but there are a number of rosacea treatments which will help control the skin disorder and improve the skin's appearance.NATURAL REMEDIESNatural products can be effective in treating the symptoms of rosacea and providing general rosacea skin care.
